time to wish

To pray for peace, to plant a tree,

New Years. A time of hopes and wishes made possible.

A night so magical that every single one of us

comes together,

our past, our present, and our future.

2011 has been a year of loss, pain, happiness, joy 

and just pure crazy.

The fact that it isn't 1995 anymore.

We have new ideas, new ways of thinking, new opportunities, new voices to be heard.

We're going on into 2012.

A year that I'm sure most of us have been looking forward to

in a long time.

Our lives are our stories.

Our stories of truth 

and lies.

But they're ours.

So 2012 will be out time to write a new.

Pages are blank and pens at the ready.

Ready to write down all their is to say of who we are

and what we can become.

We will put our 2011 book down on the 31st of December

and pull out our 2012.

The book will be called "Opportunity"

and the first chapter is New Years Day.

When this day comes, we should not only make a resolution

but make a wish.

A wish for not just for a good year but a good soul.

A soul that will reach out to others as well as itself.

To LOVE.

Let's try once again to make it right.

For this night is every mans birthday.

And thank God for making it available to us.
